What is the structure of this website?

All the pages, being displayed have more or less the same structure. Each screen is divided broadly into three sections. The leftmost section shows the dynamic links to various Clubs belonging to Nibble, Weekly Poll and Top Members. The rightmost section shows links to Activities , News and Downloads. And the central section is the display area where the information related to various links would be displayed.

How can I view the information I need?

First step while using this site is to Login. Once you have logged in, you can very well make use of any link you feel like just by a simple click of the mouse.

I am having problems in logging in?

Try and Login using the complete mail id you entered at the time of registration, for example if the mail id you provided at the time of registration was john@yahoo.com, then use this complete id as your username along with your password, however, if the problem persists then please contact us.

About Us

What kind of information is provided in About Us?

About Us is the section that provides introductory information about Nibble Computer Society and its various clubs. A single click shall display the introduction of Nibble, while a click on any of the dynamic links leading to various clubs ( at the left most section of page) shall display the information about any specific club.

Where can I get the information related to functions of any specific Club?

To view the information related to any specific club, you must first click on About Us, which shall lead you to the introductory information about Nibble Computer Society, then you can click on the dynamic link of the club of your choice ( at the left most section of the page) to view the required information.

Alumni

What is the purpose of Alumni section?

Alumni section provides a platform to all those who have been a part of this college sometime in their lives. Through Alumni, all those who have passed out, may still remain connected to each other and to JSS itself.

How can the information related to various Alumni be seen?

Information related to any Alumni Member can be seen by clicking on the Alumni List.

How can a new person become a part of Alumni?

A new user may become a Member of the Alumni by registering himself/herself. The registration process is simple and requires just a few details to be filled up by the person concerned.

What is Message Board?

Message Board, as its name suggests is a kind of virtual board where any Alumni Member may post a message to be shared by other Alumni Members. It provides a base for communication among various Alumni Members. The complete Message Board comprises of seven different categories. Six out of those seven categories are nothing but the six clubs of NCS, whereas the seventh one is the General Board where a message related to any abstract topic may be posted.

How can i post a question?

You can post a question related to any particular club by clicking on the respective club and then clicking on the Submit Question link

How can I submit an answer?

Clicking on any club, you would be able to see the summarized list of all the questions posted to that club. Click on a particular question to view the complete question. Then along with the complete question you would be able to see the answers submitted to that question by others, as well as you would be able to submit your own answer.

How can i view the answers submitted against the question I had posted?

Just click on the question you had posted and then click on the View Answers link to see all the answers posted by others. Now its upto you to choose any answer, from those, as the Best Answer and thus award the answerer the points kept at stake.

What is the marking scheme in Forum?

Initially, each member would be assigned 200 points. Then as and when any member would post a question, he/she would have to allot the weightage of the question, which would be deducted from his/her points as soon as he/she posts a question. Later on, after viewing all the answers submitted by others, he/she may choose the best answer thereby awarding the answerer the points kept at stake.

Weekly Poll

Weekly Poll is the section where a question would be posted on weekly basis along with relevant options. The questions would be genaral so as to cover everyone's intrest. A user may respond to the Weekly Question by clicking on the option of his/her choice. The user may also look at the Current Result of the Poll by clicking on the Result.

How can I take part in Weekly Poll?

Taking part in Weekly Poll is a simple task. All you have to do is to read the question and its options, and then simply click on the option of your choice.

Top Members

Top Members are the leading scorers in the Forum. Top Members may change regularly, and therefore, the names displayed under the heading of Top Members may also change on a regular basis. Forum is not the only way to gain points to become a Top Member. Points can also be gained by keeping your attendance regular in various Nibble events like Seminars, Workshops etc. and by Uploading files at the Knowledge Centre. The files uploaded at the Knowledge Centre would be scrutinized by the respective Head of the Clubs and the uploaders may gain points based on the level of the uploaded file.At the end of each month, the member with the highest points would be announced as the Top Member who would get some exciting prizes too.

Activities

What kind of information is provided in Activities?

Nibble Computer Society is known for the Events it organizes for the benefit of students. These Events are organized on a regular basis. The Events may include Seminars, Workshops, Lectures etc. All the information about these Events is available under the heading of Activities.

How can I come to know about the Upcoming Activities of Nibble?

The section of Activities keeps account of all the recently held activities, achievements, and upcoming activities. Attending all these activities regularly may fetch you some points too, which might help you becoming the Top Member of the month.

News

This section keeps you updated as it provides you all the relevant recent News related to Techno World.

Knowledge Centre

Knowledge Centre, as its name suggests, is a virtual space where members can share their knowledge. Any member can upload a file, as well as, download a file uploaded by other members. The files are broadly classified into two categories viz. Article and Your Idea. Article comprises of all those files which may not be your own creation but you have lifted from somewhere, whereas, Your Idea has to be your own Original Creation. All the files uploaded by anyone would be under the scrutiny of respective Head of the Clubs and based on the level of the file, the uploader may fetch some points which might help him/her in the race for Top Member.

How can I upload/download a file from Top Downloads?

Uploading to, and Downloading from Knowledge Centre is a simple task. All you have to do is select the file you wish to download from the available list of files and then click on the Download, and for uploading, you just have to click on the Upload File and then Browse the file you wish to upload and click OK.
